de girls soccer match opened my eyes towards de effectiveness of de 4-4-2 diamond formation n it's system of sub-tactics. really impressive. it seems like everyone frm midfield onwards can score. n wingers can drift so wide tt dey hav all de space in de world to take de time to cross. def-mid=def. def=gk. gk=collector of loose balls/decoy/dummy/decoration. nice...
it's also one of de toughest formations to crack. diamond cuts diamond. yeap, no doubt it is beatable by 4-*-*, 3-*-*-* n *-1-*-2. (watch soccer games n take notes lik i did. u'll noe wad each star represents). but it takes precise hu-goes-where to really bring de system down.
but den again. dere's no such thing as 'The Perfect Formation' as every one has it's weaknesses, counter-formations n de players hav to b perfectly tailored for their respective jobs.
(to my rival teams...if u tink i'm gonna utilise 4-4-2 diamond all de time, tink again. haha)
