joined the mjc soccer training today. after informal enquiries frm ikhwan, ken n hyder. i've finally decided to give it a try. ah seng is de only goalkeeper left. i may hav a hope of beating de newbies for a place in de team. even if it means sitting on de bench while watching ah seng play. cos he deserves it. but i cant deny i do hav a desire of playing in a pre-season friendly.
i'm not quitting shooting though. gotten a hang of it. got hope of representing de sch somemore. no way am i letting tt go.
training was alright. 12 rounds became 4 due to lightning alert. lucky 4 only. if 12, i confirm pancit oready sia. aft tt, did drills wif cones n de ladder thingy. moving in all sorts of directions n jumping over cones. including all sorts of funny drills which makes us luk lik dancing. haha. we also took de opportunity to show off some cool dance moves.
i had to do so wif only socks on my feet as studded boots r too slippery n i came in slippers which were even worse. socks better. hu de hell taught me tt. haha. dere was a shoe in de store but it cant even fit my hand. how to fit my leg. so, had to do de drills n jump in socks lor. all tt almost naked-feet jumping has made de balls of my feet hurt. dun tink i'll be able to jump for another 2 days.
aft tt, did goalkeeping drills wif ah seng. n some sprinting.
den came de match.
my team was supposed to wear bips. but none left for obaje.
coach fabio: u no need lah. doesn't make a difference.
hahaha. sedih siol.
he even asked me "u goalkeeper ah?", when i was wearing my gk jersey. y? do i luk lik a striker to u? haha.
anyway, de match.
my team won 5-1. went 1-on-1 wif matthew. gave de seniors (khairil n matthew) a preview of my Eye Of The Tiger..often mistranslated as Mata Kucing. haha. another save tt deserved mention was my reflex save against matthew's shot. overall, a fantastic match.
after de match was warm down. izzen it cool down?? nvm. den we did a cheer which ah seng led twice n botched. in de end, obaje led.
mandi n went home.
